I created The HMO Property Co after spotting a gap in the Western Australian property market. I'm committed to sustainability, passionate about relationships and connections, and I truly believe there's a smarter way to live and invest.
Together with my wife Jo, I've grown the business every year since 2017 — including 100% year-on-year growth in a saturated market. What began as a bold vision, 10,000 rooms in 10 years, has already helped over 2,500 West Australians find safe, stylish, affordable homes, and given 380+ investors cashflow-positive assets with outstanding returns.
Under Neil's lead, HMO's caring, purpose-focused team fills the gap between social housing and the private rental market in a respectful, compassionate and innovative way.
As Group Integrator for The Coliving Collective — the organisation behind The HMO Property Co and Living Rooms — Jo works alongside Neil to turn the group's vision into reality. Bringing together the leadership team, people, systems and strategy, she ensures every part of the business is aligned, accountable and working towards a shared purpose.
With a background of more than 10 years marketing some of the world's biggest brands, Jo combines commercial thinking with creativity and an unwavering focus on creating places people are proud to call home. Her passion for thoughtful design has shaped the distinctive homes The HMO Property Co is known for, creating spaces that are not only functional but genuinely beautiful places to live.
Jo believes that housing has the power to change lives. Passionate about creating meaningful social and commercial impact, she leads the group's strategic partnerships, industry collaborations and purpose-driven initiatives, building relationships that extend far beyond the property sector. By bringing together investors, government, community organisations and industry leaders, Jo is helping shape a more innovative and accessible housing future — proving that commercial success and positive social impact can, and should, go hand in hand.
